I just wanted to Thank you All at Denson's for making a special occasion so awesome on 8/10!!!!!The food was phenomenonal!!!! Thank you for that Choc. My husband and I just dined here for the 1st time and all I can say is AMAZING!!!! Everything is fresh and cooked to perfection. Do yourself a favor and order the oysters. The service was also flawless. We were given descriptions along with the specials and all menu questions were answered friendly. This is my new favorite restaurant and I can’t wait to go back.

Let me just say this is my favorite place to eat. The owners are super nice, they try to say hi to everyone and see how their meals were. Try to be patient, everything is fresh and perfection takes time. Might I suggest starting with drago oysters or crab dip if they have it (the pretzel it comes with is locally baked). Then try a seasonal special, ie shad roe or clam belly's. Or you can stick with a classic burger made with local beef, or perhaps a crab cake (best I've ever had, fresh never frozen blue crab). Then finish it off with some amazing ice cream.

Had a great lunch here. Very impressed with food and drink selection. The food was delicious and very fresh. Extremely nice staff.

If you are in Colonial beach, then do yourself a favor and have dinner at Densons Grocery. You will be thankful that you did!

This was the best food I have had in a long while, the freshness and detail is so special, and I’m in love with the Brussel sprouts. I’m from Maryland but will definitely be back.

Had lunch and dinner at the restaurant while visiting the area for a couple of days. The reviews of this place were "spot on" as it was some of the best food we've ever eaten. The staff, including the owners, were some of the nicest people you will ever meet. We WILL definitely be back!

I enjoyed the blackened rock fish sandwich. Done to perfection, super delicious, highly recommend to everyone. Wash it down with the Old Bay flavored bloody Mary. Just great.

As a local, we frequent Denson's often for the amazing ice cream! However, my children and I visited today for lunch and it was absolutely fantastic. My daughter had the children's order of fried shrimp and fries, which she stated was the best she's ever had (which is a high compliment since that is her preferred order everywhere). My son and I both ordered burgers and fries, which were juicy and cooked just right. We love the quality, fresh food and the loving service make Denson's stand out. Keep up the amazing work, Rocky, Blaire, and staff!!! We love y'all and your restaurant!

The beat your are to find ! Gracious, fun, delicious. Nicest folks you will ever meet. Awesome truly fresh veggies and Seaford. A must if in the area. No one compares to them. !!

We have been going to Denson"s for years and we are only disappointed when there are no seats available. It is one of the top place I've visited and I recommend you make a trip to treat yourself.

Amazing sandwiches. The Mayfair is an excellent, simple ham and swiss. Fried oyster po boy was really good! Service was a little on the slow side, but worth it!

Amazing. Family owned and operated. Small staff with quality FRESH food. Menu is dictated by the fresh items they get in. Menu is always changing and making you want to come back again. Oysters are always the best. Haven't had anything we didn't love - too many good things to list.

Denson's is the best place for breakfast or lunch in Colonial Beach. Get their burgers "Northern Neck" style for a great taste and don't forget their spicy ketchup for the fries. Breakfast is great too with some of the best bacon around!

Amazing Food and Experience cradled in Quality.

Denson's Catered a New England style lobster boil for us as an employee appreciation event. There was no question about the freshness of the shellfish. The meal was authentic and amazing, right down to the seaweed garnish. Blaire, Rocky and their staff were punctual, friendly and helpful. My employees and their guests were all suitably impressed and not shy about telling me. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a catered seafood event.

Denson's is the best place in Colonial Beach, no question. Fresh, never frozen seafood and beef, homemade salads, soups, and desserts, great beers and wine. Very casual place with an outstanding menu, and friendly owners and staff!

Great food, great staff, and a breath of fresh air! I love the gourmet and organic products this place sells! A breath of fresh air vs. what you can find at the chain grocers. The prices are fair, not marked up to the hilt like other specialty groceries I've been to. Great place for Lunch! I love the soups and crab cakes especially! The staff is always so polite, and they seem to be genuinely good people :). Keep up the good work guys!6 Stars!!

One of the best Restaurants in Virginia! Food is always local and fresh. The menu is absolutely delicious. We have never had a bad dish or experience. The owners are extremely nice and put 100% of their love and time into the restaurant. Two thumbs up, must visit restaurant.👍👍

My fiance and l came here on a very cold night, one night recently and they didn’t have the courtesy to put up a sign that they were closed for the season! We saw a ton of let down people back and forth from the door and was surprised at how they could operate that way

Densons is a must do in quaint Colonial Beach!

Went for dinner and as always great food,brussel sprouts were awesome,my husband who hates brussel sprouts kept eating mine.The Densons oysters are my favorite. Rocky and Blair are awesome and always provide that homey personal touch with all of their customers.We drive an hour and half for dinner with them and they never dissapoint.Love you guys,and our waitress was on point and very attentive.We will be back.

Denson's has amazing food that is prepared fresh when you order. The staff are friendly and efficient. I can't wait to go back. Oh, and definitely try the ice cream. It's fantastic!

Like all things at Colonial Beach it is tiny but with a home town feel. The real reason to come for lunch are the sandwiches and seafood specials. Superb service. From oysters to crabcakes to fried fish to deli there is not a bad item. I've only had lunch here and it matched the write up in Outside Magazine in 2016. Dinner seating is known to be crowded so reserving a seat is recommended whereas lunch is first come, first served. All the produce was locally sourced and fresh.

Ever since we moved to Colonial Beach Denson's has been my favorite restaurant. In fact, I believe it is my favorite restaurant of all time. The very casual atmosphere is punctuated with some of the most amazing food I have ever eaten. The large scallops are cooked perfectly and the flash fried brussel sprouts are amazing. I love this place so much.

Great locally sourced seafood and vegetables, all cooked to order and prepared with care. The staff are truly about serving fresh in-season produce! And while you're there everyone makes you feel like family!
